Recent funded research projects at GRAMP

Two new projects have been recently funded in the last call of R+D+I projects at the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Both of them are coordinated by GRAMP researchers and included in our current work schedule:

GÉNESIS (PID2019-104157GB-I00) “Globalización económica y nuevos espacios internacionales: Mercados europeos y redes comerciales bajomedievales en el Mediterráneo occidental” will be performed between 2020 and 2024 and coordinated by Dr. M. Dolores López within the Mediterraneum research line. This project aims at researching about late medieval merchant societies and it will build upon the knowledge created in recent past projects of our team. The universities of Cambridge, Panthéon-Sorbonne, Torino, Consiglio Nazionale delle Richerche, Paris-Est-Marne-la-Vallée and UNED will take part in this project.

GREYWARE (PID2019-103896RJ-I00) “Transformaciones en el uso de cerámica utilitaria de cocción reductora: una aproximación diacrónica y social a los modos de producción y consumo” is a project coordinated by Dr. Esther Travé and focused on the analysis of reducing greyware pottery in transition periods. We will study pottery from the previous centuries to the consolidation of feudal world and pottery transformations during the postmedieval period. It will be performed between 2020 and 2023 in collaboration with the Museu de la Terrissa de Quart, Museu Arqueològic de l’Esquerda and the Centre d’Estudis Martorellencs.
